For funeral homes · Free 3-minute audit

Most families only call one funeral home. Yours was the one that rang out.

A family calling at 3am is not comparing you to anyone. They are waiting for somebody to pick up. Dendrik answers on the first ring at any hour, takes the details your director needs before he is even awake, and pages whoever is on call. 01 · The Leak

Only one call in five is a family with a death to report.
You wake for all five.

Your numbers

How this is worked out. The math: inbound calls a month, times the share you miss, times 60 in 100 of the missed first calls becoming a service, times your average. We use 60 in 100 because a family calling about a death is not comparing quotes. The FTC's own estimate is one call per funeral. That also means a missed call is not usually a lost bid, it is a family left without an answer.

This is an estimate built from the numbers you just set. It is not a promise. Not every unanswered call is a first call, and some families will ring back. The figure is here to size what is at stake, and the only way to know your real number is to measure your own line.

Starting positions use an average funeral with viewing and burial of roughly $8,300 in 2023 dollars, the most recent NFDA general price list study. There is no 2025 or 2026 study, so treat the figure as three years old. Move every slider to your reality.

Don't take our word for it. Hear it.

Not a script and not a testimonial. A real call you can play right now, before you give us a single detail about your business.

04 · What Dendrik Handles

Five jobs your front desk
should never miss.

Dendrik handles the repetitive intake work across your inbound channels, then sends the conversations that need judgment to your team.

01 · It Answers
Scattered points, each answered by a ripple the instant it arrives.

Picks up on the first ring. At 3am, on Christmas Day.

Trained on your service area, the hospitals and hospices you work with, who is on call tonight and what you want said before a director gets there. No hold music, no beep.

“You have reached the right place. I am very sorry. Can you tell me where she is now?”

02 · It Captures
Shapes passing through a narrow gate, some through, some set aside.

Takes the first call details, once.

Where the deceased is now, the name of the facility, who is calling and their relationship, a contact number, and whether anyone else has been notified. The things your director would otherwise ask half asleep.

“Thank you. Can I take a number in case we are disconnected?”

03 · It Pages
A calendar filling with booked slots, one after another.

Wakes the director on call, already briefed.

Your on-call rotation gets the location, the caller and the relationship before they dial back. They call a family they already know something about, instead of starting cold.

“Our funeral director is being paged now and will call you within a few minutes.”

04 · It Defers Price
A pulse travelling along a line and lighting up the node at the far end.

Never quotes. Not once, not approximately.

Price questions are logged with a callback in business hours, or routed to a director if that is your practice. Your general price list is a legal document and this agent does not read from it.

“I want to make sure you get exactly the right figures, so I will have our director go through those with you.”

05 · It Escalates
Five stars filling with light, one by one.

Anything that needs a person gets one immediately.

A caller in crisis, a relay call, a coroner's office, anything on your list. It stops working and hands to a human mid-call rather than continuing.

“I am putting you through to someone right now. Please stay on the line with me.”

A daughter calls ninety minutes after her mother dies.

The call the whole profession is built around. She is not comparing funeral homes. She was given your name and she is waiting for somebody to answer.

The family that called once reached somebody, and your director started the conversation informed instead of half asleep and cold.

A son calls late asking what a direct cremation costs.

The single riskiest call in this business. The Funeral Rule requires accurate telephone price disclosure, and an inaccurate answer is the provider's violation, not the answering service's.

The family got an accurate price from a licensed director, and nobody put an approximate figure on a recorded line at 11pm.

The caller is not calling about a funeral.

The call Dendrik must recognise and refuse. It stops, does not attempt to help, and puts a person on the line while the caller is still holding.

The one call that needed a human got one inside two minutes, and nobody was handled by a machine who should not have been.

  1. 02:47FamilyA caller in distress. Something is badly wrong. This is not an at-need call.

  6. 02:49Your director on callThey pick up already briefed. The caller does not start again.

A couple asked about pre-arrangement in March. Nobody called back.

The unhurried half of the business, and the half that quietly evaporates while everybody is on an at-need call. Nobody objects to a machine following up on this one.

The pre-need conversation that had already been earned turned into an arrangement, without a director finding an afternoon to chase it.

08 · The Never-Miss Guarantee
Dendrik.Never miss. Never forget.GuaranteeService warranty · Inbound calls

A family that calls once should not reach a voicemail.

Dendrik will handle at least 95% of your eligible inbound calls to a completed next step within 30 days of going live.

If it does not, your monthly retainer stays waived until it does.

Covered

A call counts as handled when it is:

  • Answered
  • Captured
  • Paged to your on-call director
  • Resolved
  • Or escalated according to your approved rules

Not counted against you

A call does not count against the guarantee when your own escalation rules require a person to take over. Price questions are always deferred to a director, by design, and deferring one counts as handled.

Measurement

We measure the result from your live call data, not from a survey or a subjective review.

Effective from go-live. Reviewed monthly.

The build is agreed upfront. The retainer waits for performance.

09 · Straight Answers

The questions you're
already asking.

They should not, and this is not built to make them. About one call in five to a funeral home is a family reporting a death. The other four still ring at 3am. Dendrik takes the calls that should not have woken your director so that he is awake, sharp and available for the one that should. On a first call it captures the location and the caller, says what you have told it to say, and pages a human within seconds. The director still makes the arrangement. He just does not start it half asleep.

That is correct, which is why it never quotes one. Not a figure, not a range, not an approximation. Price questions are answered with your agreed wording and routed to a licensed director, and the question is logged verbatim so you can see what was asked. Telephone price disclosure under the Funeral Rule stays where it belongs, with your directors and your general price list.

It stops. A caller in crisis, a relay call for a hearing-impaired caller, a coroner, or anything else you put on the list. It does not attempt to help, it does not keep asking questions, and it hands to a person mid-call rather than taking a message. You write that list before go-live and you can change it any time.

Then you already believe the phone matters, which is most of the argument. The questions worth asking are what happens when two families call at once, whether you are billed per call in a bad month, and whether a price question is ever answered by somebody without your price list in front of them. Compare on those three, not on us.

Free, always. No credit card, no trial that flips into a charge. The assessment and your Blueprint cost nothing, and the do-it-yourself fixes inside it are yours whether we ever speak or not.

Yes. Play the demo above and judge for yourself. It's the same system we deploy for clients, answering as our own front desk. We wouldn't trust our own calls to it if it couldn't handle yours.

It's trained on your business and speaks in your tone, not a script. Most customers only notice one thing: they got an answer instantly instead of voicemail. Don't take that on faith, play the demo and decide with your own ears.

Then you're ahead of most. But great staff still sleep, take lunch, and handle one call at a time. The assessment measures exactly what slips through in those moments, and it's usually more than owners expect. If the number comes back small, you've lost 3 minutes.

No. It answers the number you already have and books into the calendar you already use. The system fits around how you work today, not the other way around.

Most builds go live within one to two weeks of the advisor call. The time goes into personalization: your tone, your FAQs, your escalation rules. It's built around you, not switched on from a template.

The assessment is completely self-serve. The follow-up call is optional, and you book it only if you want to walk through your Blueprint together. Worst case, you leave the call with a clearer plan and buy nothing.

Every build is scoped to your business, so there's no rate card to paste here. Two things are always true: the assessment, the Blueprint, and the advisor call are free, and you'll hear an exact figure on that call before you decide anything. If the math doesn't beat the leak, don't buy.

It's built to hand off, not bluff. The moment a conversation goes past your rules, an emergency, a VIP, anything unusual, it escalates to a human with full context. And every build gets tuned against real conversations, month after month.

Your answers are never sold and never shared for anyone's marketing. They're used for exactly one thing: building your Blueprint. Details are in our Privacy Policy in the footer.
